It's not bad to be confident, it's all about how much grace you have. Confidence without grace is just plain rude and it turns people off and limits your opportunities. This was something that I learned the hard way. I had many influential people that showed confidence in tough ways. But as I got older, wiser and deeper in my faith I learned better approaches to show confidence. Here are some great insights on gracious confidence.
He who loves purity of heart. and whose speech is gracious, the King is his friend.
—Proverbs 22:11 -
I am precious to God and He will take care of me.
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
— Colossians 3:12
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
— Galatians 6:2
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us all in our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
— 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ God forgave you.
— Ephesians 4:32
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
— Romans 12:15
Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.
— 1 Peter 3:8
